Role Overview We are hiring top-tier Java Backend Engineers to help build our new, proprietary Trading Platform from the ground up. This system will replace existing third-party exchange platforms and must scale to handle low-latency institutional trading flows with real-time risk, FIX connectivity, and microservice-first architecture. You will work alongside experienced engineers, architects, and product owners on a unified infrastructure for institutional and retail trading. This is a rare opportunity to own mission-critical code in a globally scaled, high-throughput environment. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and deploy high-performance backend components for trading, order routing, matching, and execution systems. Develop FIX engine integrations for institutional client onboarding and LP connectivity. Implement real-time risk checks, exposure management, and margin logic within the ECN core. Contribute to architectural design sessions, coding standards, and system observability (metrics/logging). Write efficient, clean, testable Java (and optionally C++) code aligned to latency-sensitive flows. Collaborate with Frontend, QA, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to deliver integrated product stacks. Troubleshoot production issues with precision and speed. Participate in continuous profiling and performance tuning. · Own technical debt remediation and enforce code quality. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (Bonus: Any certification related to financial markets, AWS, or performance engineering). 8+ years of Java backend development experience, ideally in high-throughput systems. Strong knowledge of FIX protocol, trade lifecycle, execution venues, and LP aggregation. Experience with order management, risk engines, and market data feeds (e.g. ITCH/OUCH/FIX). Expertise in multithreading, concurrency, low-latency I/O, and memory optimization. Familiarity with microservices (Spring Boot, gRPC, Kafka), and distributed architecture patterns. Bonus: Proficiency in C++ for ultra-low-latency components (e.g. matching engine). Experience with real-time monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana) and tracing. Version control: Git; Build: Maven/Gradle; CI/CD: GitLab, Jenkins or similar. Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, UDP, multicast) and Linux system internals. Why Join Us?
