Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll play a key role in architecting and delivering API endpoints to power real-time collaboration and media management features. This role covers both production-grade TypeScript services and scalable AI inference infrastructure, collaborating with experts across backend, DevOps, and applied AI.


Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy backend API endpoints for real-time collaboration and media management using TypeScript.
Develop cloud-native services running in ECS containers on AWS Fargate.
Integrate with AWS-native services: S3, CloudFront, Lambda, Kinesis, and SQS.
Contribute to the inference backend (Python, PyTorch, TorchScript) deployed across multiple clusters and cloud providers.
Manage Kubernetes-based orchestration using Flyte, Kueue, and Kyverno for efficient job scheduling.
Implement monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana; manage infrastructure with Terraform.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-performance, reliable backend delivery from concept to production.


Requirements

Strong experience developing APIs in TypeScript from the ground up and launching on AWS
Solid understanding of AWS architecture: ECS, Fargate, and other AWS-native services
Exposure to Python-based inference systems PyTorch or TorchScript
Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes and related tools including Flyte, Kueue, & Kyverno
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform), monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana)
Proven track record working on modern, distributed, and cloud-native systems
