Role Overview
You'll own critical parts of our backend infrastructure--from databases to APIs to core services. You'll build systems that power our products with reliability and performance. You care about clean architecture, enjoy solving hard technical problems, and take pride in shipping robust, scalable solutions.

Has strong backend experience and a track record of production systems.

Brings solid computer science fundamentals and system design expertise.

Key Responsibilities May Include
Build and maintain core infrastructure, databases, and backend services.

Design scalable APIs and data pipelines that power our products.

Ensure high performance and reliability across our systems.

Work with cloud infrastructure and bare-metal compute as needed.

Collaborate with a lean team of talented engineers to ship quickly.

Measure, optimize, and iterate based on production metrics and customer needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
5+ years in software development.

Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.

Strong experience with Postgres databases.

Experience self-hosting applications and services.

Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

Experience with cloud infrastructure and Linux systems.

Clear, proactive communication in a remote environment.

Product mindset and ownership--you care about outcomes, not just tasks.

Nice to Have
Experience with high-availability systems and distributed architectures.

Knowledge of infrastructure as code and DevOps practices.

Background in building integrations or working with third-party APIs.
