This fully remote contract role offers the chance to build the backbone of a modern financial platform operating at massive scale. You’ll work on mission-critical backend systems that power secure money movement, payments, and complex workflows where performance, reliability, and correctness truly matter. From designing ultra-low-latency search and high-throughput distributed systems to building intelligent auto-remediation and permissioning platforms, your work will directly shape how financial systems operate in the real world. If you thrive on solving hard infrastructure problems, writing high-quality production code, and helping scale platforms that move money globally, this is a rare opportunity to make a meaningful impact.


This contract role can be located anywhere in the US, remote.


Build multi layered permission role integrations with consensus and policies
Build auto remediation and exception management engine supporting fund flows
Build highly performant search engine with sub milliseconds latency as our north star
Build highly concurrent, robust and self healing batch processing systems
backend focused
distributed system
payments
money movement
workflow orchestration
6+ years experience working with distributed systems.
Experience in platformization.
Experience serving as senior engineer for a small to medium sized team.
You write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of our customers.
You’re passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together.
Experience in cloud services (AWS/GCP)


Nice to Have:
Hands on crypto experience
AI integration tools
Bachelor Degree or above for Computer Science, relevant experience


Contract: 12-Months with possibility of extension (budget/performance)
Rate: $65-84/hr W2
Location: Fully Remote
Eligibility: Green Card, US Citizen
Experience: 6+ years
