The Role As a backend developer at Penta, you’ll work as part of our ERP team to tackle some exciting problems and deliver new and innovative solutions to our customers' biggest needs primarily around reporting and integrations. We’re looking for someone who is excited by solving complex problems, working in a fast paced environment, and collaborating with teammates and customers. Your Skills and Experience: Creating APIs that are a breeze to use, from design to deployment leveraging Microsoft Azure API Management and .NET Core. Designing, transforming, and migrating data between relational databases. Passion for diving into new technologies and problems with an ownership mindset. Four+ years of experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Database development with Oracle, PL SQL, and other relational databases. Development in object oriented languages, C# preferred. Basic Linux, Windows, and Networking knowledge. Developing or supporting an ERP or accounting-related applications such as general ledger, payroll, purchasing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Your Responsibilities: Think strategically about APIs and where and how they could add value for Penta and our customers. Develop and maintain complex utility programs and scripts to maintain and manipulate data. Work autonomously to create APIs that enable our customers to integrate best in class products with the Penta ERP. Create views that transform data between relational database models, simplifying complex reporting for customers. Use database (SQL), back-end (C#), and Entity Framework technologies to design, build, and maintain software solutions from the ground up.
