This is a coding role first and foremost — you’ll spend most of your time designing, building, and optimizing APIs that power critical business applications. The ideal candidate is a superstar engineer: someone who writes clean, scalable code using industry best practices, thinks about performance and security from day one, tests thoroughly to minimize QA burden, and collaborates effectively with teammates and partners across the organization. You’ll work fast but thoughtfully, balancing speed with long-term maintainability. This role is perfect for a senior developer who loves being “hands on keyboard,” thrives in a team environment, and wants to make a tangible impact by building APIs that are reliable, secure, and built to last. This 12 Month + contract with multiple likely extension opportunity is available for immediate hire. We seek a candidate in the USA. Key Responsibilities Build high-quality APIs using C# and .NET Core — design, develop, test, and deploy code that supports business applications and integrations. Work cross-functionally with product owners, UI developers, database engineers, and QA to deliver seamless, well-integrated solutions. Develop serverless solutions with Azure Functions and Logic Apps for event-driven and workflow automation scenarios. Ensure scalability and security of APIs by applying modern design principles and best practices (OAuth, JWT, API gateway policies). Write thoughtful, testable code and own quality — proactively minimize defects before QA. Optimize performance through monitoring, logging, and debugging in Azure Application Insights and Log Analytics. Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for automated builds, testing, and deployments Work with Azure API Management (APIM) to manage, secure, and monitor API consumption. Collaborate actively with peers and mentor others when needed — sharing knowledge, reviewing code, and helping the team grow. Stay curious and continuously improve development practices, tools, and processes. REQUIRED SKILLS: 6+ years of hands-on coding experience in API development with C# and .NET Core. Azure - Strong expertise in Azure Functions and Logic Apps for serverless application development. Hands-on expertise with Azure API Management (APIM). Skilled in RESTful API design, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and API security. Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred). Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and integration patterns.Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and integration patterns. Experience with logging/monitoring/debugging tools such as Application Insights and Log Analytics.
