Vantiq is looking for an extraordinary Sr. AI Application Developer to lead and manage a team of engineers building solutions for key Vantiq customers in North America. This position will be dedicated to specific projects and accounts within the beverage industry. The ideal candidate has a deep passion for developing and managing successful production applications and AI agents. They should have deep experience with developing modern AI driven solutions, including working with LLMs, and integrating new technologies into complex business environments. This position will report to the Director of Professional Services for North America. Location is flexible, but may require occasional travel. Technical Requirements Experience managing successful software product roadmaps and vision. Experience developing commercial products or applications utilizing AI Agents. Experiencing collaborating with and managing offshore software engineers. Understanding of Generative AI principals, including prompt engineering and retrieval augmented generation (RAG) utilizing semantic indexes. Ability to understand, read, or write code in JavaScript / SQL. Knowledge of databases including: SQL Databases, MongoDB, and timeseries databases. While not specifically required, knowledge in as many of the areas listed below are desired. Python and shell scripting. Virtualization engines (Docker, Kubernetes) Business systems like ERP/CRM Operating systems including Linux, Windows. Experience with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and products. Experience with Cloud Platforms: AWS, Google, Azure Application integration with ERP, EAI, CRM vendor products Responsibilities and Expectations: Lead development of Vantiq applications serving as the Senior Engineer (player-coach). Coach and manage off-shore software engineers. Strive to make customers and partners successful through a combination of solution design, AI expertise, and consultative approach to enablement. Continue to learn and train on product lines and continuously update knowledge of new products. Identify customers' needs and provide the 'best' or 'total' solution from a wide range of products and services. Startup attitude. You have a positive, can-do attitude and will “roll up your sleeve” and do what it takes. Participate in sales meetings, product demonstrations and trade shows as appropriate. Education: Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in computer science or have experience commensurate with this position (10+ years in industry).
