Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications built on ASP.NET, MVC, C#, VB, VB.NET, SQL, and .NET framework
Work hands-on with existing/legacy codebases, including refactoring, debugging, and incremental modernization
Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations
Collaborate with product and operations teams of clients to deliver reliable features
Deploy and manage applications in AWS environment (EC2, RDS, S3)
Participate in code reviews, testing, and release processes
Ensure performance, security, and scalability of applications
Contribute to technical decisions and architecture discussions


Required Qualifications

6+ years of professional experience as a .NET Developer or Software Engineer
Strong experience with:
ASP.NET
MVC
C#
VB / VB.NET
Visual Studio 2019 and 2022
Proven ability to work with both legacy systems and new codebases
Experience with AWS Cloud, including EC2 and RDS
Solid understanding of relational databases and backend development
Experience using GitHub for version control and collaboration
Able to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a team through JIRA and Slack
Strong problem-solving and communication skills


Nice to Have

Full-stack experience (frontend + backend)
Experience modernizing legacy applications
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices
Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced environment


Work Details

Location: Remote (US-based)
Employment Type: Part-Time or Full-Time
Engagement: Contract with potential conversion to W2
Start: ASAP
