This role focuses on developing reliable data pipelines, integrating with external systems, and ensuring high-performance backend services that support customer-facing products.

You will work in a collaborative, remote-friendly environment where ownership, empathy, and customer impact are core to how we build and deliver software.



Key Responsibilities



Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python
Integrate third-party applications into core systems
Consume and process data from external APIs, webhooks, and file-based feeds
Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data synchronization workflows
Design scalable data models and write efficient SQL queries
Improve system reliability, monitoring, and observability across integrations
Establish best practices for authentication, data transformation, and error handling
Debug distributed workflows and multi-system interactions
Collaborate cross-functionally to support integration onboarding and long-term maintainability

Deliver stable, scalable, and well-documented backend integrations
Build clean, reliable ETL workflows that produce high-quality data
Improve observability and reduce incident detection and resolution time
Create reusable integration patterns that streamline future development
Enable internal teams to easily onboard, support, and extend integrations


Required Qualifications



5+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily backend-focused
Strong proficiency in Python (or similar backend languages)
Solid experience working with external APIs and authentication methods (OAuth, API keys, etc.)
Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational data modeling
Experience designing and maintaining distributed or multi-system workflows
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a remote, asynchronous environment




Preferred Qualifications



Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, and Step Functions
Experience designing serverless or event-driven architectures
