In this role, you will design, build, and deploy advanced machine learning and LLM-driven solutions that improve decision-making, streamline workflows, and enhance the overall experience across mission-critical environments. You’ll work at the intersection of data, engineering, and applied AI to deliver intelligent, reliable, and scalable systems. What You'll Work On: Code & Engineering Write, test, and maintain production-quality Python code, with an emphasis on advanced patterns, performance optimization, and scalable architecture. ML/LLM System Design Design and implement end-to-end machine learning workflows. Specifically implement LLM-based systems, agentic patterns, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines. Apply deep understanding of large language models—their strengths, limitations, failure modes, and appropriate use cases—to guide solution design and model selection. Cloud & Orchestration Build and orchestrate training, evaluation, and inference pipelines using AWS cloud services, including S3, Bedrock, Lambda, and Step Functions. Evaluation & Experimentation Evaluate model performance using confusion matrices, ROC/PR curves, and other diagnostic tools to ensure reliability across diverse operating conditions. Lead experimentation cycles, perform structured testing, and validate improvements with quantitative metrics and controlled experiments. Collaboration & Documentation Collaborate with engineering, product, and data science teams to integrate ML solutions into real-time and event-driven systems. Document technical decisions, model behaviors, and workflow patterns to support reproducibility and team knowledge-sharing. Key Requirements & Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of experience building production-grade ML or AI-driven systems in a professional software engineering environment. LLM Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with Large Language Models (fine-tuning, evaluation, prompt engineering, safety considerations, and operational deployment). Python Mastery: Expert-level Python skills, including testing frameworks, packaging, logging, dependency management, and CI/CD integration. ML Frameworks: Proficiency with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn. Cloud/AWS: Strong experience with AWS services particularly S3, Bedrock, Lambda, Step Functions, and related serverless and orchestration tools. Model Deployment: Demonstrated ability to deploy, monitor, and maintain ML models in production environments, including model versioning and automated retraining workflows. ML Evaluation: Strong understanding of model evaluation techniques (confusion matrix interpretation, precision/recall analysis, AUC/ROC, and PR metrics). Workflow: Experience working within Git-based workflows and Agile/Scrum delivery teams. Problem-Solving: Ability to translate ambiguous business or mission needs into well-scoped, measurable ML solutions. Salary Band: $115,000-$140,000 Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance. What Blu Omega Can Offer You: Competitive benefits including Health Insurance, 401K w/ match, Paid Time Off and more.
