About the job
Lead Python Engineer with strong experience in PySpark and MongoDB to join a long term project. 



This will be a 1 year contract with high likelihood of extending. 



The Job 



You will join a team working on a large project and play a key role in ensuring success and ongoing development. The key responsibilities will be:


Data Ingestion Pipeline:
Data source identification
Data quality evaluation and transformations
Data ingestion design (real-time vs batch) Data processing
Build and implement data pipeline
API and Data Layer Design:
Identify the necessary endpoints based on the required functionalities.
Identify and understand the requirements for data layer


Integrations:
Analyze existing external systems integrations and design microservice architecture
Design required development and deployment infrastructure for microservices Implement sample services to validate design
Design real time data integrations as required
MongoDB to SQL data migration planning or identify alternate solutions to expose data


Unit Testing:
Create test plans (functional, perf, etc.)
Conduct unit testing for all data pipelines and APIs
Support testing process (triage issues, diagnose bottlenecks)


About You 



You should be highly skilled in Python and be comfortable working in fast paced environments. As well as your technical ability you should be comfortable communicating at all levels including c-level.
