Role Overview We are seeking a Lead MERN Stack Developer to architect and build the core application layer of our AI-driven healthcare ecosystem. As a technical leader, you will oversee the end-to-end development of scalable front-end and back-end features and guide the team in engineering best practices. You will also collaborate closely with our AI and blockchain teams to deliver a seamless Web2/Web3 hybrid user experience. What You’ll Do Lead Architecture & Development: Lead the architecture, development, and optimization of our MERN stack applications. Full-Stack Feature Implementation: Oversee the development of both front-end and back-end features using React, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. AI Integration: Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate machine learning models, data pipelines, and analytics into production systems. Blockchain Integration: Work closely with blockchain developers to integrate application workflows with our permissioned ledger. Engineering Best Practices: Establish engineering standards and best practices, conduct thorough code reviews, and provide technical mentorship to other engineers. Performance & Scalability: Drive performance, scalability, and reliability improvements across the full stack. Technical Direction: Shape the technical direction by contributing to system design decisions and influencing the long-term product roadmap. Required Skills MERN Stack Expertise: 5+ years of full-stack development experience working with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js). TypeScript & APIs: Proficiency in TypeScript and experience developing RESTful APIs, implementing authentication mechanisms, and working with microservice architectures. Scalable Architecture Design: Proven experience in designing scalable, production-ready software architectures. UI/UX & Performance: Keen eye for UI/UX design with experience building polished, high-performance user interfaces. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to excel in a fast-paced startup environment. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring engineers, establishing development standards, and leading projects from inception to completion. Preferred Qualifications AI/ML Integration: Experience integrating AI or machine learning models into production applications. Blockchain Knowledge: Knowledge of blockchain fundamentals (e.g. Web3 technologies, smart contracts, and data integrity systems). DevOps & Cloud: Familiarity with containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar services such as Render/Railway). Startup Experience: Prior experience working in an early-stage or high-growth tech startup. Domain Experience: Experience with real-time data processing or healthcare information systems.
