Role: Java Developer Market Data BAU

Type: Contract/Full-time

Location: New York | San Francisco, CA (Onsite - 5 days a week in office)

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with trading and quantitative analysts to understand business requirements
Estimate and deliver high-quality code adhering to best practices
Design, develop, and maintain system architectures for Market Data solutions
Implement code quality measures like static & dynamic analyses, security scans, and CI/CD pipelines
Configure applications to align with business processes and requirements
Participate in the full software delivery lifecycle from analysis to support
Required Qualifications:

Post-Graduate degree in statistics, finance, mathematics, or computer science
5+ years of hands-on enterprise Java development experience
Experience working with Market Data and BAU support (Mandatory)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills & Experience:

Proficiency in core Java (JDK 11/17), Spring Boot, and low-latency trading platforms
Knowledge of asynchronous/event-driven programming and database management
Familiarity with financial platforms like Bloomberg or Murex
Experience with Kafka, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Ansible, or Docker
Hands-on expertise in server-side component development and multithreading
Experience with JMS and RESTful APIs, enterprise authentication, and exchange gateways
Preferred Qualifications:

Prior exposure to Design Patterns and unit testing
Background in continuous integration and server component optimisation
Familiarity with gateway technology development frameworks
