Role Description

This is a full-time remote Lead Backend Developer (Python) role. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and services that support Datatruck's platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include building APIs, managing databases, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration. The role also involves implementing best practices in software development, ensuring code quality, and providing mentorship to junior developers.


Qualifications

Strong background in Computer Science and a deep understanding of Back-End Web Development
Experience in Software Development, including developing and deploying backend systems
Proficiency in Programming languages, particularly Python, and familiarity with related frameworks
Expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
Ability to create and maintain high-performance APIs and manage database systems
Strong problem-solving skills and experience optimizing system performance
Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork
Prior experience in logistics or transportation management software development is a plus
