About The Opportunity

An enterprise software & IT services organization building cloud-native, business-critical applications for customers across verticals. We deliver scalable backend systems, data-driven services, and API-first integrations to power digital products and B2B platforms. This remote role is focused on building resilient Java-based microservices and APIs that operate at scale.

Location: Remote (USA) — Employer: Heyer Expectations LLC

Role & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices and backend components using Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
Build and consume RESTful APIs, model data access layers with Hibernate, and optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.
Implement automated unit and integration tests; contribute to CI/CD pipelines and maintain build automation with Maven.
Troubleshoot production issues, profile performance bottlenecks, and implement fixes to improve reliability and latency.
Participate in code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, and produce clean, well-documented code.
Collaborate with product owners, QA, and DevOps to deliver features on schedule and support deployment/monitoring activities.
