With one of our long term clients. This role is 100% remote and focused on building and leading modern backend systems at scale. You will design, develop, and support production-grade APIs, microservices, and event-driven workloads using C#, modern .NET, and AWS. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys writing code, owning technical decisions, and leading by example. What You’ll Do Design and build backend APIs, microservices, and batch workloads using C# and .NET 8/9. Lead API design and standards using Swagger / OpenAPI. Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to align systems with business capabilities. Design and implement data models using EF Core, linq2db, DynamoDB, and Postgres (RDS). Build event-driven integrations using AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS, and DynamoDB Streams. Develop and manage infrastructure using AWS CDK and/or Terraform. Build and deploy containerized services using Docker, ECS/Fargate, and AWS Batch. Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth2 / OIDC. Manage secrets and configuration using AWS Secrets Manager and Parameter Store. Support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions. Collaborate with frontend engineers, DevOps, and QA in an Agile environment. Provide hands-on technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship. Required Experience Strong experience with C# and modern .NET (6–9). Proven background building RESTful APIs and backend services. Solid experience with AWS, including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, SNS, ECS/Fargate, RDS, and IAM. Experience designing DynamoDB access patterns for real-world workloads. Strong understanding of Docker and containerized deployments. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK and/or Terraform). Familiarity with OAuth2/OIDC and securing backend APIs. Comfortable working in GitHub-based CI/CD workflows. Experience leading or owning backend systems in production. Nice to Have AWS DMS or migration experience. Large-scale batch processing experience.
