About the Role

Camzo is building a new interactive engagement layer for gaming — blending competitive play, user rewards, and integrated brand experiences. We're looking for a highly capable full-stack engineer who can take ownership of core technical pieces, guide early architecture, and collaborate closely with the founding team and oversee small technical team as we ship our MVP.
This is not a traditional senior role — we’re open to postgraduates or early-career engineers who are exceptionally strong, hungry to learn, and excited about building in a fast-moving startup environment. You’ll have direct influence over how the product is built, and the role has a clear path toward a founding engineering position as we grow.


What You’ll Do

Contribute to early system architecture and core MVP structure.
Build backend logic, user flows, scoring systems, and essential integrations.
Collaborate with the frontend/UI team on smooth implementation.
Manage deployments, Git workflows, and lightweight sprint planning.
Optimize for speed, modularity, and clean design patterns.
Help shape data models, event tracking, and early product decisions.
Work directly with the founders to drive technical execution.


This is a hands-on engineering role — but with room to grow into leadership as you prove your capabilities.


Technical Skills We’re Looking For

You don’t need 10 years of experience — you do need strong fundamentals.


Required:

Solid experience with Node.js / TypeScript or similar backend stack
Familiarity with React/Next.js or front-end integration
Understanding of REST APIs & authentication
Experience with cloud databases (Firestore/Firebase, MongoDB, or similar)
Good Git habits and ability to work independently


Nice to Have:
Experience with AWS, Firebase Functions, Vercel, or similar hosting
Exposure to analytics/event tracking
Interest in gaming, esports, or competitive systems


Who You Are
Curious, ambitious, and excited to build 0→1 products
Able to work 5–10 hours per week (flexible)
Comfortable in a small, fast-moving startup
A clear communicator who enjoys collaborating cross-functionally
A gamer or gaming-adjacent (preferred but not required)
