Full-Stack Developer — Help Build the Future of Grocery at OPIE

Location: Flexible / Remote-friendly (some onsite collaboration welcome)
Type: Full-time or part-time / open to students

At OPIE, we’re rethinking what a grocery store can be.

We’re not just shelves and checkout lanes — we’re a 24/7 drive-thru grocery, fresh meal kitchen, and technology platform designed to make life easier for families on real schedules. Parents picking up dinner after practice. Nurses on night shift. Road-trippers at 2 am. We exist to save people time and stress.

Now we’re looking for a builder.

Not just a coder — someone who enjoys solving real-world problems and turning ideas into working tools customers and teammates use.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work directly with leadership and operations to design, build, and improve the software that runs OPIE.

Some days that means shipping code.
Some days it means brainstorming a better way to serve customers.

You’ll help create:

Ordering & amp; payment systems
Internal operations dashboards
Kitchen workflow tools
Inventory & forecasting automation
AI tools that help teammates work faster and smarter
Customer experience improvements we haven’t even thought of yet
Who You Are

You like making things better. You get excited when software solves a real problem.

You probably:

Can work across front-end and back-end (full stack)
Are comfortable learning new tools quickly
Enjoy figuring things out more than following instructions
Like talking to real users (not just tickets)
Have experimented with AI tools, automation, or agents
Care about simple, reliable solutions over fancy ones
Want ownership — not just assignments
This is a great role for someone who wants to build, not just maintain.

Helpful Experience (Not all required)

JavaScript / TypeScript
React or similar front-end frameworks
APIs & databases (SQL or NoSQL)
Cloud services
AI integrations (LLMs, automation, workflows, embeddings, etc.)
Retail, logistics, restaurant, or operations tech (a bonus)
If you don’t check every box but love solving problems — apply anyway.
