We are seeking a Full-Stack Cloud Engineer (Python/AWS) to develop a greenfield AI-first application. This role is a high-impact blend of Python application development, modern AWS Serverless architecture (Step Functions, DynamoDB), and building the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines necessary to deploy at scale. The Opportunity: Greenfield Build & Scalability This is a high-impact, hybrid role crucial to both the launch of our next-generation offering and the ongoing improvement of our core product. You will be instrumental in building a new, AI-first application from the ground up, while simultaneously driving modern cloud development best practices in our existing SaaS platforms.Work Status & Residency: Immigration Status: Due to security requirements, this position is strictly limited to U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents (Green Card holders). Location: You must be a resident of the continental United States, excluding California. Core responsibilities Cloud Application Development: Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable cloud-native applications using Python and advanced AWS Serverless services (Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, S3). You will be a lead implementer on a new multi-stage, microservices architecture. Software Engineering: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code, following best practices for testing and development within a microservices and event-driven pattern. System Architecture: Contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring high scalability, fault tolerance, clear separation of concerns, and security best practices are baked into both new and existing cloud solutions. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation: Use AWS CDK and CloudFormation to define the infrastructure required for your applications. You will help automate environment provisioning and CI/CD pipelines to ensure our products are self-scaling and easily deployable. Security & Compliance: Partner with leadership to implement security best practices (e.g., IAM, network controls) directly into the application and production environments. You will act as a hands-on implementation specialist to ensure our cloud solutions are secure by design. Required Skills & Experience Software Engineering: At least 5 years of experience in a software engineering role. You must have proven expertise in developing applications with Python. AWS Development: At least 3 years of hands-on experience building and architecting with core AWS services. AWS Certifications (e.g., Certified Developer or Solutions Architect) are strongly preferred AI and GenAI: Experience using AI tools is required. Experience developing GenAI applications or features (including knowledge of Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker) is strongly preferred. Architecture: Strong familiarity with microservices architecture, event-driven patterns, and serverless technologies. Data Modeling: Proficiency with NoSQL (specifically DynamoDB) and SQL database systems. DevOps & IaC: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (AWS CloudFormation or CDK) to support your own deployments.
