This is a high-impact, zero-bureaucracy role for someone who loves building elegant, performant interfaces—and wants their work to define the look, feel, and usability of a category-defining fintech product. As one of the earliest engineers on the team, you’ll shape our frontend architecture, establish best practices, and collaborate directly with design, product, and leadership. If you thrive in fast-moving environments and want to “own the front door” of a company scaling from pre-seed to Series A, this is that role. What You’ll Do Own the entire UI surface across our products—architecture, execution, and polish. Build, ship, and maintain high-quality, scalable React/TypeScript applications. Work closely with design, backend engineering, and product to turn complex flows into beautiful, intuitive experiences. Drive frontend performance, reliability, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices. Partner with design to evolve our component library and design system. Set and uphold engineering best practices through code reviews, documentation, and mentoring as we scale the team. Bring new ideas, frameworks, and techniques that level up product quality and velocity. What You Bring Deep expertise in TypeScript, React, and modern CSS. Experience building polished user interfaces with modern FE tooling (React ecosystem preferred; Vue/Angular welcome). Strong product instincts and a passion for user-centric design. A builder mindset—you thrive in ambiguity, move with urgency, and value clean, maintainable code. Solid understanding of performance, accessibility, and cross-browser behavior. Excellent communication skills and comfort collaborating in a fast-paced startup environment. (Bonus, not required) A degree in CS or related field—or equivalent real-world experience. Nice to Have Experience with Vite, state management (Redux, Zustand, Jotai), or SSR frameworks. Familiarity with testing tools (Jest, Cypress) and CI/CD pipelines. Experience designing or contributing to design systems. Exposure to backend technologies (Golang, Postgres) in full-stack or API-driven environments. Knowledge of accessible UI patterns (ARIA, WCAG).
