Front End / Full Stack Developer 

Location: New York, NY (Remote with occasional travel as agreed)
Employment Type: Contract (1 Year) with extensions

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Front End / Full Stack Developer to join our client's dynamic NY team. This is a hands-on technical role – not a management or analyst position. You will work for our global well-trusted Financial Services client across backend Java services and frontend applications (Angular/React), and be responsible for writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing code in a highly regulated environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain backend Java services and frontend applications.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries; troubleshoot database issues.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and basic infrastructure tasks (AWS, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, UrbanCode).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical problems efficiently.
Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.


Requirements:

5–10 years of development experience.
2–3+ years of Java backend experience.
Frontend experience in Angular, React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
SQL proficiency with knowledge of CTEs, query plans, indexes, and troubleshooting.
Experience in regulated or finance-adjacent environments.
CI/CD and AWS exposure (S3, SQS, SSM, KMS).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


Preferred:

Prior experience in a large financial institution.
