ABOUT THE CLIENT



A venture-backed AI healthcare startup building next-generation clinical agents that automate end-to-end care delivery.
Their systems combine LLMs, voice AI, and real-time infrastructure to handle some of the most complex, time-consuming, and expensive workflows in healthcare, at a level that rivals and, in many cases, exceeds residency-trained medical staff.
The company is early-stage, well-funded, and focused on building real, measurable impact in patient outcomes. This is an opportunity to help define the technical and product foundation of a category-defining healthcare AI company.


THE FOUNDING FULL-STACK ENGINEER ROLE:



We are looking for an early full-stack engineer to join the founding team and help shape both the product and engineering culture from the ground up.
This is a high-ownership role in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment where you will work closely with founders to design, build, and ship AI-driven clinical systems used in real healthcare settings. You will own features end-to-end, from frontend experiences to backend services and infrastructure, and play a key role in defining how AI agents deliver care at scale.


WHAT YOU’LL DO



Build AI-powered clinical agents

Develop end-to-end clinical agents using LLMs, conversational AI, and agentic systems
Design workflows that automate care delivery across intake, triage, follow-up, and coordination
Optimize systems to outperform traditional clinical workflows in speed, cost, and accuracy
Own full-stack development

Build across frontend, backend services, APIs, and infrastructure
Take features from idea to production in a fast-paced startup environment
Make architectural decisions that scale with the company and product vision
Develop real-time and voice systems

Build and deploy real-time systems, including telephony and voice processing
Work with streaming, low-latency infrastructure to support live clinical interactions
Integrate voice agents into production-grade healthcare workflows
Integrate with healthcare infrastructure

Lead integrations with EHR systems
Design and maintain HIPAA-compliant architectures and data flows
Work closely with clinical and operational stakeholders to ensure real-world usability


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE



2 to 4 years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer
Hands-on experience with AI and LLM systems, ideally conversational AI, voice agents, or agentic systems
Experience with TypeScript
Strong ability to ship quickly in ambiguous, early-stage environments
Proven ownership of projects from concept through deployment
Comfort wearing multiple hats in a small, elite startup team


BONUS EXPERIENCE



Founding or early-engineer experience at a startup
Healthcare SaaS or health-tech background
Experience with real-time systems, telephony, or voice infrastructure
