The CEO brings 15+ years from Goldman Sachs, Amex, and Jet.com. You’d be the hands-on technical leader who ships the product and builds the team. The Role You’ll be the primary technical decision-maker responsible for shipping Zyro’s core product and scaling the engineering team. This is a builder role first—you’ll write code every day—with a clear path to CTO as we grow past seed stage. You’ll work directly with the CEO and founding team, with significant autonomy over architecture, tooling, and hiring. What You’ll Own Ship and iterate on four core product flows: onboarding with vibe summary, group chat functionality, brand partnerships, and agentic payments Own the full-stack architecture: TypeScript/Expo (mobile), Node.js (backend), PostgreSQL (data), OpenAI/Claude APIs (AI layer) Design and build the trust graph and preference infrastructure that becomes the API layer for AI agents Lead the engineering team and make critical hiring decisions as we scale Drive technical strategy for NVIDIA infrastructure migration (NIM, Triton, TensorRT-LLM) post-fundraise Establish engineering culture: 2-week sprints, one major feature per month, clear individual ownership Architect for Visa and PayOS payment integration and agentic transaction flows What We’re Looking For Must-Haves 5+ years of hands-on full-stack engineering with production systems at scale (TypeScript/Node.js strongly preferred) Experience building mobile apps with React Native or Expo that real users depend on Deep comfort with LLM integration—prompt engineering, API orchestration, caching strategies, multi-model dispatch (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) Track record of shipping product 0→1 at a startup or early-stage company; you know what it takes to go from nothing to something people use PostgreSQL or equivalent relational database experience with data modeling for complex user profiles and behavioral signals Strong opinions on engineering culture, code quality, and team building—you’ve hired and mentored engineers before Comfort operating in ambiguity with high ownership; you don’t wait for specs, you create them Strong Signals Experience with messaging platform integrations (iMessage, WhatsApp, or similar conversational UIs) Background in payment infrastructure, commerce APIs, or fintech (Visa, Stripe, etc.) Familiarity with NVIDIA inference stack (NIM, Triton, TensorRT-LLM) or production ML infrastructure Experience building recommendation systems, personalization engines, or preference/intent modeling Prior CTO or technical co-founder experience—you’ve been the person responsible for everything technical Understanding of data privacy architecture (GDPR, CCPA compliance by design, consent management) Experience with graph databases or social graph modeling (Dunbar-scale trust networks are core to our product) What We Offer Equity Significant founding-level equity package (2–5%+ depending on experience and commitment level), with standard 4-year vesting and 1-year cliff Cash Compensation Competitive for pre-seed/seed stage; we’re transparent that equity is the primary upside here CTO Path Clear trajectory to CTO title and expanded equity as you demonstrate impact and the company scales Autonomy You own technical decisions.
