Role Overview

Compensation will include cash remuneration plus equity reflective of experience and contribution until the anticipated seed round close (3–4 months), at which point it will transition to a market-aligned structure.
We are seeking a talented and ambitious engineer to join our founding team. As the Founding Team Engineer, you will play a critical role in architecting and building a high-performing, scalable marketplace platform. While experience in ConstructionTech is a plus, it is not required—what we need is someone with proven expertise in building and scaling digital marketplaces. You will work closely with the Founder product teams to deliver a platform that addresses the unique needs of the architectural glass industry. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of product development from the ground up, using cutting-edge technology and contributing directly to the company's growth and success.

Where we are
The Glass Market is live in market with multiple products and is beginning to scale its marketplace across several go-to-market channels.

We have secured a strategic distribution partnership providing access to over 500 customers as our initial path to market.

Our low-code MVP has been developed in conjunction with industry participants, ensuring real-world validation and immediate commercial relevance. We are now transitioning from build phase to structured growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities
● Design and develop a scalable marketplace platform to handle transactions, project postings, warranty management, and communication between stakeholders.
● Lead the technical development of the platform, from back-end architecture to front-end design, ensuring high performance, security, and a seamless user experience.
● Collaborate with product management and sales teams to refine business requirements into technical specifications.
● Build the platform in iterations, regularly releasing MVPs and collecting feedback from early users to make continuous improvements.
● Develop core marketplace features including project posting, vendor certifications, warranty management, and delivery scheduling systems.
● Set the technical direction and make critical decisions about the tech stack, tools, and infrastructure, while also mentoring future engineers as the team grows.
● As a member of the founding team, be comfortable working beyond the role description as needed.
