Role Description This is an equity-based, founding-level role with a flexible location. As the Founding Engineer at QwickPitch, you will play a central role in designing, developing, and maintaining the company’s core technology and product infrastructure. This is a hands-on role with meaningful influence over technical direction and product decisions. Responsibilities include building scalable web applications, developing user authentication and profiles, implementing video upload, storage, and playback, and supporting matching and discovery features. You will help design and maintain scalable backend infrastructure, establish engineering best practices, and contribute to key technical architecture decisions alongside the founding team. This position is compensated through equity and is intended for a driven individual who wants to build from the ground up and do something special, not just work on another small project. You will play a major role in shaping the company’s product vision and long-term technological direction. Qualifications Strong experience with modern web development (frontend, backend, or full-stack) Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable system design Experience building or maintaining web applications end to end Strong problem-solving, debugging, and independent execution skills Ability to collaborate closely with founders and communicate technical concepts clearly Comfort working in an early-stage, fast-moving startup environment Prior project, internship, or startup experience preferred GitHub portfolio or previous work strongly encouraged Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred Who This Is a Great Fit For Computer Science or Engineering students looking for serious startup experience Recent graduates who want to build something from the ground up Builders who are highly motivated and self-driven
