Our mission at Tangens is to make motion graphics easily accessible to consumers. We want people to create sophisticated animations, transitions, and other effects without depending on complicated software like After Effects. 

We are the first product in the market to redefine the concepts of timeline, animations, and keyframes. We launched our first iOS app, ShortMotion, which lays the groundwork for an easy to use and powerful motion graphics editor without the complexities of keyframes and busy timelines.


𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
We’re building a completely new way to create animations with AI, which we believe will redefine how people interact with video editing tools. As our Founding Engineer, you won’t just contribute to this vision, you’ll help invent it. This is an equity-only role for someone who wants to shape the future of creative technology from the ground up.


You will:
 • Define and execute the technical vision for an AI-powered animation system that reshapes the video creation process.
 • Own end-to-end engineering, from architecture and rendering pipelines to performance optimization and production-quality implementation.
 • Collaborate directly with the founders to shape product direction, turning ambiguous early ideas into polished prototypes and breakthrough user experiences.


𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
 • Deep experience with Metal and a strong track record building production-ready graphics, rendering, or GPU-accelerated systems.
 • Strong proficiency with iOS frameworks (UIKit, SwiftUI, etc.) and AI/ML tools like Core ML—comfortable blending graphics and intelligence.
 • A genuine passion for creative tools and motion graphics; ideally familiar with products such as After Effects, Motion, Premiere, or similar.
 • Proven ability to rapidly prototype solutions with minimal requirements and iterate quickly.
 • Strong leadership instincts—able to drive projects independently, manage priorities, and help scale an early engineering team.
