About the role
We’re hiring a Founding AI Engineer to help design and build the core AI systems that power our product. This is a hands-on role focused on shipping production-grade AI and agentic systems, not research prototypes. You’ll work directly with the founding team and play a key role in shaping both the technical architecture and the product itself.

What you’ll do
Own AI capabilities end to end, from system design through production deployment and iteration
Build and evolve multi-agent systems, including orchestration, tool-calling, and workflow execution
Develop evaluation frameworks, observability, state management, and explainability to ensure reliability, transparency, and auditability
Extend AI systems from reasoning and synthesis into real-world execution across internal and external systems
Collaborate closely with founders, engineers, designers, and domain experts to translate customer needs into robust AI-driven products
Help set engineering standards and technical direction as an early member of the team

Tech stack
Backend / AI: Python
Application layer: TypeScript
Frontend: React
Cloud & infrastructure: AWS and modern DevOps tooling
This role is backend- and AI-leaning, but comfort working across the stack is expected.

Who you are
5+ years of experience building and operating production systems, ideally with applied AI or ML components
Strong software engineering fundamentals with a track record of shipping real products
Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving, early-stage environments with high ownership
Actively uses modern AI tools and has informed opinions about their strengths and limitations
Able to think beyond isolated technical tasks and engage with product, user, and business context
