DealNexa is building an end-to-end AI-powered M&A operating system.

We’re now transitioning from AI features layered on top of workflows → building our own M&A-native AI infrastructure that understands deal context, financials, diligence, and transaction dynamics.

That’s where you come in.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Founding AI Engineer who wants to build from scratch, work directly with the C-suite, and play a defining role in how AI reshapes M&A.

This is not a maintenance role.
This is not a “plug into Jira and disappear” job.

This is for someone who:

Wants real ownership

Wants to influence architecture and product direction

Is excited by ambiguity

Wants to be early — before the company is funded, not after

What You’ll Do (Phase 1 – MVP)

Your initial mission is to help us ship an investor-ready AI MVP.

Specifically:

Design and build an AI wrapper integrated into the DealNexa platform

Implement LLM-powered features such as:

Deal summarization

IC memo drafting

Document analysis (CIMs, financials, diligence files)

Workflow intelligence across buy-side and sell-side users

Architect clean, scalable AI interfaces that can evolve into our proprietary LLM

Work closely with the CTO, CEO, and product leadership on technical decisions

Collaborate with an existing 5-person development team across platform and product

This MVP is a core driver of our funding conversations, not a side experiment.

What You’ll Do (Phase 2 – Post-Funding)

Once funding is secured (actively in progress, expected during Q1), you will:

Lead or co-lead the transition from wrapper → custom M&A-specific LLM

Must-haves:

Strong experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models, etc.)

Hands-on experience building AI products end-to-end

Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage environments

Ability to think in systems, not just prompts

Clear communicator who can collaborate with execs and engineers

Nice-to-haves:

Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases

Interest or background in finance, M&A, private equity, or SaaS

Startup or founder-level experience

Experience scaling AI products post-MVP

This role is equity-only until funding closes
