Role: Forward Deployed Engineer - Platform Engineer

Location: Remote in the Northeast (25% travel to NYC and North Carolina)
Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 + 30% Bonus


Legacy core banking is broken. The systems that they are built are holding some of world leading finance institutes back. Our client is building an open, AI-native ''thin ledger'' designed to mainframe-era systems and composable and unbreakable platform.


We are looking for someone who is passionate about architecting mission critical systems and define the foundation of an industry wide shift.


This fintech startup, founded by proven industry leaders with a track record of building and scaling mission-critical system, is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with Tier 1 banks.


This is a rare opportunity to join a high-caliber team building AI-native, cloud-first financial infrastructure using Go, Kafka, and multi-region distributed databases. The platform is designed for scale, compliance, and simplicity - tailored for the world’s most demanding financial institutions.


What You’ll Do:

Act as a customer-facing engineer, embedded with bank architecture and infrastructure teams.
Translate business needs into scalable, production-ready solutions.
Design future-state infrastructure to unlock innovation in regulated environments.


What You Bring:

Strong background in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Be a personable character who can hold their own in deep technical conversations and also elaborate things in laymen terms.
Deep understanding of SRE principles and multi-region database architectures.
Experience working in large enterprise environments.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks like PCI DSS, ISO27001, and SOC2.
