Job Responsibilities: The DevOps Engineer is a critical role within our agile based cloud product development team. The DevOps Engineer focuses upon automated continuous deployment of application code and the operational and security monitoring and care of the AWS platform. The DevOps Engineer serves as the liaison between team developers, corporate IT, and external cloud providers for deployment, operational efficiency, security, and business continuity. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or compensating experience) 2 or more years of experience in DevOps process environment or Unix System Administration, or equivalent experience (Salary will be commensurate with experience) Familiarity with Cloud providers, with AWS preferred Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools using source control, automated build/test, and code coverage analysis tools Experience with scripting languages, ideally highly proficient in Python Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, ideally Docker Container Management Good organizational, analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications: Certification with Amazon Web Services strongly preferred: AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS SysOps Administrator, and/or AWS DevOps Engineer Knowledge of DevOps best practices as these relate to software application lifecycle/release processes Proficient in designing and running test cycles, unit tests, and test scripts for embedded vehicle control systems and software applications using any test framework Strong experience using toolchains, supporting, and developing with the following applications: Jira, Git/Github, Confluence AWS Technologies: VPC, CloudFormation, Route 53, IAM, EC2, S3, Dynamo DB, RDS Nginx Linux administration and bash scripting Ability to query databases with general understanding of database administration Familiarity with implementing security into an application solution Understanding of waterfall and agile methodologies and associated ways of working Project leadership experience Infrastructure as Code - Terraform and CloudFormation Github Actions Scripting (bash/python/node.js) Software debugging skills in Java and C#
