Role Summary:
As Moved's first full-time Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in helping us become a more data-informed company. You will own analytics from product to operations to revenue. You’ll work closely with leadership to unlock insights, automate data access for teams, and identify big opportunities to grow our business. This is a high-impact, high-visibility IC role for someone who is analytical, hands-on, and hungry to build.

Success Outcomes (6-12 months):

Understand Moved's data and data model inside and out.
Take on 100% of internal data requests currently owned by our CPO.
Build dashboards and scripts to automate recurring requests.
Identify and communicate growth opportunities based on data trends.
Own and improve production pipelines and deliver analytics that directly impact decisions.
Core Responsibilities:

Write advanced SQL and Python for transformations, pipelines, and analysis.
Maintain and improve production data pipelines.
Partner with product, engineering, operations, and execs to deliver insights.
Build and maintain dashboards and self-serve tools.
Proactively identify new ways data can drive value across the org.
What We're Looking For:

3–6 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or Applied Data Science.
Strong SQL (Postgres, Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.).
Strong Python for pipelines, transformation, and exploratory work.
Experience building and maintaining production data pipelines.
Comfort working across product events, ops data, and 3rd-party integrations.
Understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, orchestration/scheduling.
You ship quickly, unblock yourself, and are comfortable with ambiguity.
You can explain technical tradeoffs clearly to non-technical teammates.
Pluses:

Experience with dbt, Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
Experience with SaaS analytics, lifecycle metrics, or customer-facing dashboards.
