Conducts inspections and preventive maintenance of data center equipment, using diagnostic tools and techniques to resolve technical problems. Monitors data center environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, and power usage, to ensure compliance with operational standards. Assists in the planning and execution of data center projects, including equipment upgrades, migrations, and expansions, and collaborates with other Technical Teams for seamless implementation. Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventories, and Incident Reports, and receives guidance and direction from more senior staff. Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS in field necessary to assume Data Center Technician duties or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree. 4+ years of relevant experience with 2+ years of Data Center Technician experience. Basic understanding of data center infrastructure components, including servers, storage systems, network devices, and environmental control systems. Familiarity with server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux) and virtualization technologies. Basic knowledge of network protocols and cabling standards. Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of hardware and software issues. Experience with data center monitoring tools. Ability to assist with data center installation and maintenance tasks, such as server racking and stacking, cable management, and equipment replacement. Ability to monitor data center environmental conditions and assist with inspections. Experience in following documented procedures and maintaining accurate records. Desired Qualifications: Master’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field. Experience with scripting or automation tools. Basic understanding of project management methodologies. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Security+, and vendor-specific certifications.
