Try Premium for PKR0 About the job Backend/DevOps Engineer to own health-data pipeline and core infrastructure across Python, Postgres, and AWS in a HIPAA-regulated environment. [PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL/MESSAGE US INDIVIDUALLY -- apply via this post or roles@joinblueai.com] Core Responsibilities Own the core health-data ingestion and processing layer — integrating wearable APIs, EHR/FHIR data, PDF extraction outputs, and other structured/semistructured inputs into clean, queryable domain objects. Design and maintain data APIs consumed by web and mobile clients, as well as AI agents and subsystems. Continue development of existing Python API or guide a deliberate reboot if a different stack proves more strategic. Manage our infrastructure (roughly 10–20% of workload): IaC, deployments, observability, HIPAA-aligned security posture, and scaling strategy. What We're Looking For Python (FastAPI), Postgres; AWS (ECS, S3, SQS, Cognito, VPC), Terraform. Prior health-tech, digital health, or regulated-data experience is a major advantage (HIPAA, FHIR, wearable data, EHR integrations, etc.). Strong bias for ownership and end-to-end delivery. Comfortable operating across the stack when needed — not siloed, not precious about boundaries. Able to work in a fast-moving early-stage environment where requirements evolve and ambiguity is normal. _________________________ Compensation and Benefits: $150,000-$200,000 based on experience, with flexibility for more advanced individuals.
