The Role

You will play a central role in evolving a production Python platform that handles complex document workflows and serves AI driven features to users. This is a high ownership role with real architectural influence.


What You Will Do

Design and extend core backend services that power document ingestion, processing, and analysis
Build and maintain APIs used by our frontend and internal AI services
Develop robust pipelines for handling PDFs, Office files, email containers, and OCR driven workflows
Improve performance and scalability across database access patterns and background task systems
Strengthen reliability through thoughtful testing, observability, and clean service boundaries
Contribute to authentication, authorization, and secure system design
Work closely with search and AI engineers to support large scale indexing and retrieval


What You Bring

3+ years of professional Python backend experience
Strong experience with frameworks such as Flask or Django and relational databases
Experience with background processing systems such as Celery or similar
Familiarity with search systems like Elasticsearch or OpenSearch
Track record of improving system quality, performance, and maintainability
Comfort operating in a fast moving product focused environment

Python 3.11+, Flask, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, Docker
