About the job
My client, a Crypto Wallet specialist, is looking for a Backend Engineer.


About the Role



Design, build, and scale backend systems powering AI-driven trading automation, copy-trading groups, referral rewards, and intelligent onchain infrastructure.
Work directly with the CTO and founding team in a tight feedback loop, collaborating closely with AI/ML engineers and mentoring peers in a fast-moving environment.
Play a central role in shaping architecture, execution standards, and long-term technical direction.


Responsibilities



Own backend projects end-to-end: requirements, system design, implementation, deployment, and iteration.
Architect and scale distributed systems supporting wallet infrastructure, indexing pipelines, and trading APIs.
Build and maintain APIs and microservices powering trading, wallet, and referral systems.
Partner with AI/ML engineers to integrate inference, automation, and intelligent decisioning into backend workflows.
Drive engineering excellence through mentorship, best practices, and high production standards.


Required Skills



7–12 years of backend engineering experience building and scaling production systems.
Strong foundation in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
Hands-on experience with wallet infrastructure, APIs, indexing problems, and/or trading systems.
Startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, bias toward execution, and wearing multiple hats.
Proficiency in Node.js (preferred) with experience using AWS and Postgres; Golang experience is a plus.
Strong crypto fluency required: prior work on wallets or trading products, or active hands-on usage of crypto tooling.
