Job Description: We are seeking an Associate Data Engineer who is passionate about marrying data with emerging technologies to deliver high quality, highly available solutions. This role contributes to the Engineering of large-scale solutions that enable Echo's business while supporting the strategic architectural vision of quality, scalability, performance and function. The Associate Data Engineer is an active member on a dynamic team looking to build Best in Class data platform. At ECHO, you'll be a member of makers, breakers, doers, and disruptors who solve real problems and meet real customer needs.What You’ll DoCollaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions use cloud data technologies and tools.Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with, and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities.Collaborate with digital product managers and deliver robust cloud -based solutions that drive powerful experiences for our transportation logistics partners.Utilize programming languages like Python, SQL, noSQL databases, and a variety of AWS tools and services.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or 2 years of professional software engineering experience in at least one of the following modern languages: Python, Java, Scala, or .Net (Internship experience does not apply)Experience collaborating in team environmentsFamiliarity with Agile practicesFamiliarity with Cloud TechnologiesPreferred Qualifications3+ years of experience in at least one of the following modern languages: Python, Java, Scala, or .Net2+ years of experience in Agile practices2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud serviceEcho Global Logistics is a leading provider of technology-enabled transportation management services.
