This is a builder role for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to take ideas from concept to production and see their work used by real customers. You’ll work closely with product, security engineering, and platform teams to design and deploy AI-driven capabilities that materially improve security outcomes. What You’ll Do Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI/ML systems Apply LLMs, classical ML, and data-driven approaches to security, DevOps, and container workflows Build and maintain pipelines for training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and inference Collaborate with Product to turn ambiguous problems into shipped features Integrate AI capabilities into backend services and APIs Own models end-to-end: data quality, performance, reliability, and iteration Help shape RapidFort’s AI strategy and roadmap as the company scales What We’re Looking For Required U.S. Citizen (required due to government and DoD customer requirements) Strong entrepreneurial / builder mindset 3+ years of hands-on experience in AI / ML engineering Experience shipping ML or AI systems into production Strong Python skills and experience with modern ML frameworks Practical experience with: Large Language Models (prompting, RAG, fine-tuning, evaluation) Model deployment and inference at scale Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment Able to work independently and make sound decisions with incomplete information Nice to Have Experience in cybersecurity, DevOps, cloud, or container ecosystems Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure ML stacks Experience with MLOps, data pipelines, or feature stores Startup or early-stage company experience Strong product intuition and customer empathy U.S. Citizenship Requirement This role requires U.S. Citizenship due to RapidFort’s current and anticipated work with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and federal customers. The position may involve access to export-controlled information, government systems, or security-sensitive environments, where citizenship is legally required under applicable regulations (e.g., ITAR/EAR).
