About the Role





We are conducting a confidential search for an Applied AI Engineer to join as a founding technical hire. This role offers significant ownership, autonomy, and influence over core product architecture and user experience.




Responsibilities





Design and build applied AI systems using modern LLM-based architectures
Develop and maintain RAG pipelines, embeddings, and vector database integrations
Own data ingestion, indexing, retrieval orchestration, and evaluation workflows
Work with messy, real-world data sources and turn them into fast, reliable interfaces
Contribute to product decisions and ensure a high-quality end-user experience
Operate with high autonomy and accountability in a low-process environment


 
Qualifications





1–6 years of professional engineering experience


 
Required Skills





Strong Python and backend fundamentals
Hands-on experience with RAG systems, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval evaluation
Ability to independently build end-to-end AI pipelines
High code velocity and strong technical judgment
Comfort operating in an early-stage, fast-moving startup environment


 
Pay range and compensation package





Fully remote role within LATAM. Flexible schedule with emphasis on output over hours. Founding-level ownership and autonomy. Opportunity to work on cutting-edge applied AI systems.
