Job Title: API Developer (.NET / Azure) – Long-Term Contract
Location: Hybrid or Remote (EST time zone)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced API Developer to join our technology team on a long-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in .NET development and Azure cloud services, with a proven ability to design, build, and support scalable API solutions. This role will be instrumental in driving integration initiatives and ensuring high performance, reliability, and security across enterprise applications.


Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL services using .NET and Azure technologies.
Develop and deploy solutions leveraging Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure API Management (APIM).
Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define integration standards, and deliver end-to-end API solutions.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline build, testing, and deployment processes.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize API performance to ensure stability and scalability.
Contribute to API governance, security, and lifecycle management best practices.
Collaborate closely with architecture and DevOps teams to align solutions with enterprise standards.


Qualifications:

6+ years of professional experience in software development with strong proficiency in .NET (C#, .NET Core).
Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
Hands-on experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure API Management.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Strong grasp of cloud-native development, microservices, and API security principles.
Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.


Preferred Skills:

Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with event-driven architectures such as Azure Event Grid or Service Bus.
Understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
