CompareMedsRx fixes that. We aggregate 20+ discount card programs across 70,000+ pharmacies into one seamless experience, helping patients instantly find the lowest price on their medications. We're now building the AI layer on top of that — and we need a sharp engineer to help us do it. The Role We're hiring a part-time AI/ML Engineer to help architect and build the intelligent core of CompareMedsRx. You'll work directly with the founder, ship real features quickly, and have meaningful ownership over how AI is woven into our product and partner integrations. This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role. What You'll Work On Build and iterate on AI agents, conversational tools, and LLM-powered features using the Anthropic API (Claude) Design and maintain backend services and API integrations with pharmacy networks and benefits platforms Contribute to frontend development as needed (React / Next.js) Manage relational databases and help design schemas for new features Deploy and support cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP Collaborate on prompt engineering, model evaluation, and AI workflow design What We're Looking For You should have: Demonstrated experience building with LLMs — agents, pipelines, tool use, or similar Strong backend skills Comfort designing and consuming REST APIs SQL fluency and solid database fundamentals Hands-on cloud experience with AWS or GCP React / Next.js familiarity (frontend is a smaller part of this role) A bias toward shipping — you can scope and execute with minimal hand-holding Bonus points for: Experience in healthtech, pharma, or benefits/HR tech Familiarity with the Anthropic API, Claude tooling, or MCP (Model Context Protocol) Prior work at an early-stage or venture-backed startup The Details Commitment: ~20–30 hrs/week, async-friendly, flexible schedule Compensation: Competitive hourly rate or retainer based on experience Equity: Available for the right candidate Location: Fully remote Why CompareMedsRx Enterprise partnerships with Selerix (benefits administration) and Healthee (AI benefits navigation) Active partnership pursuit with Anthropic — we're building natively on Claude Greenfield AI work in a sector with real, measurable consumer impact Small team, fast decisions, and direct access to the founder Your work ships and matters — no bureaucracy, no backlog purgatory To apply or learn more, reach out directly or submit your resume and a brief note on the most interesting LLM project you've worked on.
