We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative AI Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design, development, and deployment of intelligent agents using Copilot Studio and Azure AI technologies in HSAG’s Data Science & Advanced Analytics division. The AI Engineer is responsible for leading the development of custom Copilot AI Agents for deployment across DSAA. Description The AI Engineer is a key contributor in DSAA and will develop innovative AI projects spanning intelligent agent development, automation, and enterprise integration. Driven by curiosity and a passion for technology, this position designs, builds, and deploys AI solutions using Copilot Studio and Azure AI tools. Additionally, the AI Engineer will be responsible for leveraging expertise in Python to customize AI agents and to participate in a wide array of data science activities. Responsibilities include orchestrating the development of custom AI agents, developing automation workflows, and ensuring robust, scalable deployments. Details regarding potential development and project assignments will be discussed with potential candidates during the interview process. Essential Competencies, Duties, And Responsibilities Serve as the lead AI Engineer as part of Data Science & Advanced Analytics Act as a liaison between management, technical teams, and stakeholders, communicating decisions and technical information Architect, develop, and maintain intelligent AI agents using Copilot Studio and Azure AI (OpenAI, Bot Service, Machine Learning) Optimize AI agents for performance, scalability, and reliability Monitor and evaluate AI solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals Build and manage Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and automation workflows Orchestrate large language models (LLMs) for enterprise use cases (conversational AI, summarization, decision support) Document and oversee project tasks, maintain project files, and support client meetings Develop and adhere to project timelines, identify process improvements, and implement quality initiatives Prepare technical documentation, reports, and deliverables using Microsoft Word and Excel Conduct research on AI trends, best practices, and emerging technologies Participate in training and educational presentations as required Monitor and optimize AI system performance, scalability, and reliability Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and governance standards Always represent HSAG in a professional manner Education And/Or Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field Total of 5+ years of professional experience, including: Minimum of 2 years in building AI Agents Minimum of 3 years in Python development Minimum of 3 years in Data Engineering roles Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Amazon QuickSight is a plus Required Qualifications Proven experience developing complex AI agents using Copilot Studio, Azure Bot Services, or similar frameworks Hands-on experience with Azure Functions and Logic Apps Strong hands-on experience with Python for AI/ML development Strong understanding of LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, and model fine-tuning Strong understanding of entire Azure AI ecosystem Good experience with relational and NoSQL databases Familiarity with cloud-native development and deployment practices Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Azure OpenAI, Semantic Kernel, or similar frameworks Knowledge of enterprise data integration and governance Demonstrated data engineering capabilities including ETL and pipeline development.
