They will work closely with the web team to ensure that visual designs communicate the desired message to the intended audience(s) and that websites are as technically strong as possible. They must be capable of developing creative concepts while taking direction. MUST be experienced in WordPress, Woocommerce, Shopify, Laravel, HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Applicants MUST be located in the United States. Duties & Responsibilities Ability to collaborate on WordPress design/development projects with management, team members, clients, and vendors Conduct WordPress design/development research and perform discovery analyses for new client projects, including content reviews and wireframing Create WordPress design/development strategies based on research Design responsive, mobile-first WordPress concepts based on strategy Implement WordPress websites from design concepts Perform maintenance and support for WordPress websites Implement and assess SEO best practices Communicate with clients and project managers regarding bugs and updates Stay up-to-date with new web technologies Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 3+ years of experience designing and developing WordPress websites and other PHP-based CMS frameworks Experience with responsive design/dev practices for mobile and desktop Front-end Development experience (HTML5, CSS, Javascript) Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, and PHP is preferred Experience with gathering data via APIs, knowledge of JSON, XML, MySQL preferred Experience with web analytics reporting tools (Google Analytics, Moz, GWT, etc) Must have experience in Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and Illustrator Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exceptional attention to detail Strong in creative problem-solving, resourcefulness, and working as a team Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously and create timelines to complete projects on or before deadlines Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision Self-motivated Knowledge of app creation, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, and/or similar platforms is a plus MUST be located in the United States Applicants MUST provide a portfolio including their best work and prove they have the skills and knowledge they say they have; any application submitted without a portfolio link IN THE RESUME will not be considered.
