Still University (ATSU) is seeking a full-time, exempt Web Developer. This position reports to the Assistant Chief Information Technology Services. This position is remote with the potential to be based in Mesa, AZ or Kirksville, MO. Duties & Responsibilities: Support faculty, staff and students in the use of distance and web-based education tools. Design, build and maintain websites using Wordpress and the Google suite. Identify, document, analyze, develop, and maintain web-based applications. Create/edit HTML content. Determine and recommend optimal development of software tools and plugins. Liaison with vendors to install and troubleshoot third-party software. Ensure the safety of Student and Employee information and data in accordance with local, state and federal laws and guidelines. Design and implement training materials for online education tools. Other duties as assigned. Provide technical and design services, and maintenance relating to educational applications. Web site development using tools including Dreamweaver, Expression Engine, WordPress (or equivalent tools) and the Google suite. Strong understanding of writing and editing HTML, CSS, and responsive web design. Analyze, document, program, test, and maintain web-based content. Support and maintain database services associated with custom web applications. Working knowledge of Javascript, Databases, and Web Servers. Provide Tier II support for web-delivered content customers (both Wordpress and Google suite). Scheduled on-call duty evenings and weekends for LMS user support. Requirements: Education & Experience College Degree or Technical School. HTML/website design. Wordpress. Java Script. Google tool suite. The ability to visualize a project, then translate it into a working application. Communication and problem resolution skills. Full project lifecycle development. Understanding of LMS systems and their related tools. Special Characteristics or Personality Traits Must have the ability to work cooperatively with a variety of personalities. Must be a team player who can focus on multiple projects and maintain a balance between them. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to deal with people both in person and at a distance through the use of telephone and/or video conferencing. Must be able to communicate on both technical and functional levels. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must have a positive attitude.
