Position Scope:

Application Development (50%)

Develop user-friendly interfaces to integrate with existing systems, improving the management and maintenance of data across disparate platforms.
Utilize an Agile-based project management approach, focusing on understanding, capturing, and documenting business processes and requirements before and during the development phase.
Prototyping and Evaluations (50%)

Assist in prototyping new software solutions, including trial versions of software, open-source software, or new use cases for existing software.
Quickly integrate new and existing systems to deliver demonstrable proofs of concept that showcase key capabilities and features.
Collaborate with team members to demonstrate integration capabilities and provide insights into possible software solutions.
Other Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent relevant education/experience) with 3+ years of experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
Interest in supporting impactful applications in "earth-focused" sectors such as Earth Science, Transportation, Hazards, Energy, and Health.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
Strong multitasking abilities, with the ability to rapidly switch between different subjects, communication styles, and architectural products.
Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to pass a basic NACI, background, drug, and reference checks, and potential security clearance.
