Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled WAF and Application Gateway Senior Engineer to join our growing cybersecurity and infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level web application firewalls (WAFs) and application gateways to ensure the secure and efficient delivery of web applications and services. You’ll be the subject matter expert in web application security, driving secure traffic flows, mitigating application-layer attacks, and supporting global infrastructure teams in securing cloud and on-prem environments.

Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage Azure Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Application Gateway, and Azure Front door solutions.
Define and enforce WAF policies, including OWASP rulesets, custom signatures, and bot mitigation techniques
Integrate WAF solutions into CI/CD environments
Collaborate with application developers, cloud engineers, and security teams to align traffic routing and access control policies
Design solutions to Monitor and analyze traffic patterns and WAF logs to detect and respond to threats
Evaluate new technologies and techniques for improving security posture and application delivery performance
Create and maintain documentation, playbooks, and runbooks for WAF and application gateway configurations
Manages Others?: NoQualifications:

Hands-on experience with WAF technologies (Azure Application Gateway WAF and similar technologies)
Strong understanding of HTTP/S protocols, TLS/SSL, load balancing, web application architectures, and API security
Scripting proficiency (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
Years of experience:

5+ years of experience in information security, with 3+ years focused on WAF and application gateway management

Certification Requirements:

Certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-500, AZ-700 or Simular, CISSP, GWAPT, or OSWE/OSCP preferred.

Education Requirements:

Equivalent experience to or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field
