Position Overview: Taber International, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of industrial operations experience to join our team as a full- time employee. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and writing skills; strong problem-solving abilities; and the capability to work independently, managing designated projects. The position will be fully remote, with travel to project locations. Candidates should be based in Nebraska, South Dakota, Kansas, Southeast Wyoming, or Colorado. Exceptional candidates from Iowa, Illinois, or Missouri may also be considered. This role requires a self-driven individual willing to travel 30%-40% of the time (domestically and internationally) to meet the demands of projects and clients. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement industrial control and automation systems to meet project specifications and client requirements. Conduct system integration, testing, and validation to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine system designs and processes. Prepare detailed documentation, including system specifications, test plans, and technical reports. Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial operations, with a strong understanding of process operations, controls, and systems engineering principles. Based in Nebraska, South Dakota, Kansas, Southeast Wyoming, or Colorado. (Iowa, Illinois, or Missouri considered for exceptional candidates.) Understanding of governing principles and theory supporting basic power generation systems (e.g., combustion, physics, electricity, rotational and impact mechanics, thermodynamics, etc.). Demonstrated proficiency with coding platforms/systems and digital tools (e.g., general computer proficiency, scripting, automation platforms). Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely. Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. Strong interpersonal skills, having the ability to interact with diverse groups and develop and foster effective working relationships Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated punctuality and ability to meet timelines and expectations. Willingness to travel 30%-40% of the time, domestically and internationally as needed, to various client sites and project locations.
