We provide database solutions, application development, infrastructure supports, network engineering, and high-end computing using innovative technologies to the health agencies. We are looking for a Sr Systems Engineer for one of our FEDERAL projects. Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer with a strong foundation in system design, integration, implementation, and sustainment. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in managing and optimizing complex IT infrastructures, with a deep understanding of operating systems, networking, middleware, applications, databases, and security. Key Responsibilities: 1. System Design and Integration: Design and architect comprehensive system solutions that meet business and technical requirements. Integrate various subsystems and components into a cohesive and efficient whole, ensuring seamless interoperability. 2. Implementation and Sustainment: Independently conduct implementations including installation, configuration, updates, and documentation. Perform ongoing maintenance and sustainment of systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. 3. Operating Systems Management: Evaluate, implement, and configure Linux and Windows servers (Amazon Linux, Red Hat, Oracle, CentOS, Windows 2012-2022). Administer web and application servers, with a strong emphasis on Tomcat, JBoss, and TomEE. 4. Network and Middleware: Manage and optimize network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance, with a focus on TCP/IP and load balancing. Implement and manage middleware technologies to support application integration and communication. 5. Application and Database Management: Manage in-house developed applications and ensure their smooth operation on Linux systems. Administer databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ensure data integrity and security. Support and maintain applications developed in Java, .Net, Drupal, and other CMS platforms. 6. Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data, with a strong focus on TLS/SSL and system hardening. Conduct security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (CIS, SOX, PCI). 7. Automation and Scripting: Develop, test, and continuously improve automation solutions for infrastructure provisioning and orchestration. Script and automate tasks using Linux/Windows scripting languages (Bash, Python, YAML, CLI, PowerShell). 8. Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical leadership across all IT disciplines. Share knowledge and mentor less experienced staff, promoting best practices in system management and automation.
