Pay $55 - $65 an hour Job type Full-time Shift and schedule Monday to Friday   Benefits Pulled from the full job description Health insurance Paid time off   Full job description dbITpro is currently hiring for a Systems Administrator that will provide hands-on support to a development team by establishing and maintaining smooth operation of computer systems (to include operating systems, software, and hardware) in networked or stand-alone configurations, maintaining system integrity, and upgrading systems and/or servers as required. The environment is dynamic, and client needs are often evolving; flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success. This role is a fully remote position within the United States. Responsibilities Operate an AWS GovCloud hosting service with a collection of capabilities, tools, and services to provide a modern automated DevSecOps environment. Expertise in one or more operating systems and is responsible for support functions such as planning, deploying, maintaining, supporting servers such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Windows, databases, and backup systems. Assist with restorations, application installation, testing, Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, and troubleshooting issues. Analyze and fixes performance issues related to networking and OS and provides application upgrades. Responsible for configuration management, monitoring, and maintenance of all hosted servers. Consult with support teams, help desks, customers, and other technical staff in the resolution of problems, coordinates and performs operation and/or maintenance activities for networks/servers, identifies recurring problems and recommends steps to reduce the severity or frequency of problems. Writes or modifies basic scripts to resolve performance problems and automate administration tasks. Plan, coordinate, and implement network/system security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
