The SOFTWARE ENGINEER is responsible for delivering secure, high-quality web applications from concept to production. Build and enhance C# / .NET 8 APIs, integrate core Azure services, and wire them to lightning-fast in React – tapping into modern hooks, state-management patterns, and component composition to deliver a seamless SPA experience. Automate unit, component, and end-to-end tests in the CI/CD pipeline. Operate in an Agile, Jira-driven workflow, refine and complete user stories, collaborate with UX, DevOps, and product stakeholders, and ensure each release meets the organization’s standards for accessibility, security, and scalability. DEV OPS & PLATFORM INTEGRATION · Provision and monitor Azure resources. · Manage infrastructure as code (Bicep/Terraform). Identity & Access Management · Working with token-based session validation. QUALITY & TESTING · Ensure reliability by testing at every level: write unit tests for individual functions, component tests for UI elements, and end-to-end tests that replicate real user actions. · Automate those tests in the CI/CD pipeline so every pull request runs the suite before merge and is eligible for production deployment after approval. AGILE PROCESS & JIRA · Participate in grooming stories, adding acceptance criteria, and break work into technical subtasks in Jira. · Refine, estimate, and complete Jira user stories each sprint—adding clear acceptance criteria and updating status as work progresses. · Contribute to retrospectives and continuous-improvement experiments. QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED · Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience. · 4+ years professional software engineering with React + Javascript and modern front-end tools. · Production experience integrating RESTful APIs and secure authentication/authorization flows. · Hands-on with Microsoft Azure services (Blob Storage, AD B2C, Resources, Managed Identities, Key Vault, Monitoring). · Solid understanding of secure coding practices. · Fluency in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, responsive & accessible design. · Comfortable with Git, code reviews, automated testing, Jira-based Agile workflows, and CI/CD pipelines. · Security-minded and detail-oriented. · Clear communicator who can translate technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders. · Self-starter comfortable owning features from JIRA board to production rollout. PREFERRED · Experience embedding PSPDFKit, Adobe PDF Embed, or similar document-viewer SDKs. · Hands-on with modern JavaScript build tools. · Background in ed-tech or delivering courseware at scale. · Knowledge of watermarking or anti-piracy tooling. · Exposure to Azure Functions, Cosmos DB/SQL, and IaC (Bicep/Terraform). · Experience migrating legacy Windows installer/registry-based systems. SKILLS · Jira + Confluence for sprint tracking and documentation. · Remote-friendly (U.S. Eastern Time core hours), 2-week iterations, Sprint planning, and retrospectives. · Tools: Azure DevOps Boards/Pipelines, Git, Visual Studio, Figma, Slack. · Fluent, conversational grasp of the English language to interact with stakeholder is a must. · Availability to fully commit to U.S. work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday with overtime required, if needed, to meet deadlines. ***TO BE CONSIDERED***: Submit the following - 1.
