Job Url: https://www.remoterocketship.com/company/qsc/jobs/software-engineer-united-states Job Description: Software Engineer May 18 ⛰️ Colorado – Remote 💵 $102k - $133k / year ⏰ Full Time 🟢 Junior 🟡 Mid-level 🧑‍💻 Full-stack Engineer FFmpeg Linux Open Source TCP/IP Apply Now Receive Emails with Similar Jobs Report problem 📋 Description • A software engineer II will be responsible for implementing complex embedded software systems • The ideal candidate will have experience working on software programs developed collaboratively with international teams, including other developers, software quality engineers, product leads, and third-party vendors. • Work with Software Quality Assurance to develop appropriate test strategies • Apply best principles, practices, and patterns of software design to develop robust, efficient, and maintainable software solutions • Collaborate with and develop expertise in open source code bases and vendor software stacks to integrate, extend, and optimize their functionality. 🎯 Requirements • Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent • Minimum 2 plus years hands-on experience developing C++ software in Linux • This position requires an understanding of real-time embedded systems, Linux C++ development, TCP/IP and streaming media protocols • Experience with the features of modern C++ and its effective use in solving real-world problems • Experience with the best principles, practices, and patterns of software architecture and design • Must be self-motivated in order to achieve assigned objectives with minimal supervision • Proficiency in several of the following areas: • Experience in Linux including an understanding of the filesystem and system resources. • Experience with media streaming protocols including RTSP, RTP, NDI and video encoding formats such as HEVC, H264 • Experience with multicast audio and video. • Experience using Wireshark for network packet capture and analysis. • Nice-to-Have: • Experience with camera image signal processing • Experience with camera lenses, auto exposure, autofocus, and optical error. • Experience video encoder quality and video latency. • Experience with camera imaging technology and pan, tilt, zoom camera control. • Experience with one of the following: ffmpeg, gstreamer, libav, v4l2, opencv, and mesa • Unit testing 🏖️ Benefits • health benefits • 401K or Roth retirement plans • generous time off
